TODAY:
In my most recent role as Creative Director, Global Marketing at Dow Jones, my role bridged both consumer and advertiser-driven marketing programs across all media platforms.
At Dow Jones, I was responsible for overseeing the development of all cross-platform consumer advertising for the Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, and Factiva. These campaigns helped to drive revenue through subscriptions, social awareness, global events, conferences, and web based branding campaigns. My group of five designers managed high volume initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. I collaborated directly with executive, sales, and marketing teams at each property as well as the Dow Jones corporate group. In addition, I spearheaded the development, production, and visual installation of the archival museum at the Dow Jones Headquarters which showcases curated items from the most important moments in Dow Jones history.
Prior to Dow Jones, I was the Design Director at WIRED where I managed a group of three designers and worked closely with the sales team on custom creative and other projects for top tier brands across many brand categories. My clients included GE, Adidas, Dyson, Saab and Porsche. I was also responsible for the brand’s experimental initiatives; including the annual WIRED Store, a constructed environment during the holidays, along with the WIRED Business Conference, a one-day TED-style event for business leaders.
My diverse experience has enabled me to assimilate to varied environments from a stable publisher such as Dow Jones to a volatile one such as WIRED. I am able to lead and inspire a team to identify and pursue strategic, creative, and revenue-driving opportunities.

Above all, my passion for design is my greatest asset.
GROWING UP:
My dream growing up was to be featured on a Wheaties box as a decorated olympic wrestler. Wrestling came very easy to me and I enjoyed sharing the sport with my father. It was the foundation to our father and son bond. Through wrestling, I grew tremendously and my success in the sport set me apart from everyone. Wrestling is a major aspect of my persona both yesterday and today. I will always hold this sport close to my heart because it represents my father as well as giving me confidence. In my senior year of college I was defeated beyond recovery. I lost my father to a heart attack and wrestling was never the same.
On the days I wasn't wrestling, I remember going to my gram-mother’s house. She would sit me at the kitchen table, go into her desk and take out my uncompleted drawings. She would encourage me to finish them. Sometimes it was simply adding the wheels to a car I started and other times it was coloring something I didn't like. There was a strong art influence from my Mom's side of the family. My mother is an incredible fine artist and textile designer. My mother gave me the "I can make anything" mentality. Her brother, Uncle Eddie, was a hotrod airbrush painter. He was a hands on artist in all aspects of the term. Well before computers, he finished projects with much precision and detail. I'm very grateful for the influences of both my parents. I am fortunate to pursue my passion for design through my career. Never did I think I was going to be designing websites or sitting in an Executive filled room developing campaign strategies; but, pass me the milk, I have finally found my WHEATIES BOX.
